The children get two opportunities to go on a residential visit whilst in KS2. These trips allow the children to experience a range of activities they don't usually have the chance to participate in at school and learn new life skills.
The Year 6 children are invited to Bewerley Park, near Pateley Bridge, in Niddrdale on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park for 5 days. They have to make their beds, keep their dormitory tidy and look after their own belongings for the week whilst taking part in a variety of activities from Ghyll Exploring to Climbing.
The Year 4 children are invited to East Barnby which is located close to the Jurassic coast, a few miles from Whitby and within the North Yorkshire Moors National Park for 3 days. As well as making their beds and looking after their own things, with a little bit of help, they get to experience a variety of activities from Low Ropes to Canoeing.
