East Riding of Yorkshire Council would like to reiterate that schools, colleges and childcare providers will be closed for the vast majority of children until further notice. Many parents working in critical sectors may be able to ensure their child is kept at home. Every child who can be safely cared for at home, should be. Provision will be made for children of critical workers and vulnerable children.

School Trips

Educational Visits


Each academic year Educational Visits are arranged to enhance children's learning.  The visits are linked to a topic that the year groups are studying.


In recent years such visits include Hull Museum, Hull New Theatre, The Deep, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Filey and Honeysuckle Park.


Information is sent to parents prior to the visits.


Residential Visits


Pupils in Years 4 and 6 are given the opportunity to take part in a Residential Visit.


Year 4's can experience a two night stay at East Barnby, near Whitby.  (  Whilst pupils in Year 6 enjoy a four night stay at Bewerley Park, near Harrogate (  Both venues are run and managed by North Yorkshire Outdoor Leraning Service.


Pupils are able to take part in activities such as, canoeing, body boarding, rock climbing, high ropes, gorge and ghyll exploring and shelter building.
